Responsibilities:

• Designing structural components and systems for the chassis, suspension and steering structures.
• Ensuring new designs fulfil business targets, requirements and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets.
• Front-load work to ensure robust early stage releases and stable late stage releases.
• Developing modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.
• Ensuring component durability.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering or Engineering Technology, Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in product design/development (suspension systems, steering systems, drive systems, gears).
• Experience with CAD (CATIAV5 and/or Siemens NX and/or Creo preferred).
• The ability to work in cross-functional teams to communicate and agree on the designs for assembly, cost, sourcing and aftermarket servicing.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Teamwork Skills.
• The ability to work independently during a work week and complete tasks in a timely manner. 

The prerequisite for cooperation is working at the customer's office in China (approximately 1 month). Ultimately (after training), work is conducted from home on a permanent basis.
